PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT ATTORNEY

Getting hit by a car as a pedestrian will severely injure or even kill you. Sadly, I often see that the insurance companies and even sometimes the police blame the pedestrian for the accident. This happens because the pedestrian is in the hospital and the driver of the vehicle is the only one at the scene to talk to the police. The driver may lie for their own self-interest. The insurance company may refuse to pay you at all, or try to reduce the amount of payment by using the police report as an excuse. I see this happen frequently even when the pedestrian was hit in a crosswalk. Unfortunately, this regularly happens to young children.

Dealing with hospital and doctor visits, medical bills, lost wages, and ongoing pain and suffering is extremely stressful. After the accident you are probably asking yourself: What are my rights after I was injured in the pedestrian accident? Do I have a case? Who will pay my medical bills? What doctors should I see? How will I pay my bills if I’m too injured to work? How much is my pedestrian accident case worth? How long will it take to settle my pedestrian accident case?

TRUE STORY

My client was walking to the store and began crossing the street in a crosswalk. He was then struck by a speeding driver who was not paying attention. He was thrown more than 30 feet and was knocked unconscious. His right arm was badly broken, and he was rushed to the hospital.

The other driver stayed at the scene and blamed my client for the accident. Even the police blamed my client. This serious situation required an aggressive pursuit of the other driver’s insurance company. After a short time the insurance company realized I would not back down, and they paid the maximum limits of the insurance policy. We were also able to do an underinsured motorist claim (UIM) and received the maximum limits of that policy.

As you can see, insurance companies do not want to pay you fairly. You must fight back by using an expert attorney. I am an expert in Personal Injury Pedestrian Accidents.  Call me immediately for aggressive representation (801) 541-6709.
